Tsadkane Maryam Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Maryland strives to fulfill the spiritual needs of its members by providing church and related services in a manner consistent with the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church’s faith, values and tradition.

Celebrate the Holy Eucharist and full cycle of Orthodox services in Geʽez, Amharic, and English, serving both Ethiopian-born and American-born believers, and embracing all who seek the truth of Christ.

Outreach Beyond Borders
Open our doors and hearts to non-Ethiopians seeking the ancient Orthodox faith, offering teaching, baptismal preparation, and full spiritual inclusion regardless of culture or language.

Teaching & Formation
Educate all ages in the Holy Scriptures, Orthodox theology, and sacred tradition, preserving the ancient practices of our Church and making them accessible across generations and
cultures.

Cultural and Liturgical Continuity
Preserve and transmit the sacred heritage of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church — including the Geʽez language, Zema (chant), icons, and feasts — while interpreting them in ways
meaningful for new communities.
